Sorry its been so long...

Hello one and all. this is only gonna be a quick message but yes I am still alive. Lots has happened since I last wrote here. The little one and I were joined by our other halfs for a chilled out weekend of sitting in the park, the boys drinking litres of beer on the barge boats on the river and....Ice Skating of course; we gathered a gang of 6 of us together to get our first taste on the ice in a long time and were totally mortified by the unreal ability of the small children there so we couldnt spend much time clinging to the walls...
I was amazed at my ice abilities and was by far the quickest and most lithe on the ice....cockyness got the better of me tho...i was going ninety down the ice when....I caught the little toe bit and went flying, i landed on my hip, knees, wrist and elbow....one ince of my elbow was ripped off and a fine scap appeared along with a 10ince bruise across my elbow....twas fab. im all healed now tho oh and a lumpy knee and wrist too. ive since been skating again with milkymer and alcohollys contingent.....didnt go so fast but milkymers bro n i played chase on ice. good times....
Ive so much more news but since im in an internet cafe and there are rude peope wrecking my buzz i must go n fill u in on more later....anyways i am alive n kickin

Pestered for info...

Oh cold one you really do have too much time on your hands. France is incedible, my french is crap and I'm lucky if I make it to the internet twice a week.
So anyways on the news front...I'm just after starting my fourth week of placement. Im working ina childrens foster care center and its good but quite tough work. I am with - three to six year olds for the next few weels and then Oh little one and i are swapping and i will spend the last 6 or 7 weekes workin with the babies.
The children are sent to the Foyer d'enfance by the courts as it is not safe for them to stay home. as u can imagine these children have terrible backgrounds ans ome of them have behavioural and mental problems as a result. getting hit bitten and spat on are all par for the course tho that was way more of a problem when i was working wit the older kids durin my first week. Im getting very good at giving out in french and disiplinin..;or at least tryin to.
Outside of work we have a fantastic social life! the Irish pubs have been a life saver and you wouldnt believe the amount of young irish people here especially people from cork and UCC. Ive already met 3people i knew before i got here from cork 2 that live here.
On friday Oh lil one and i are leavin Mermaid and Alcoholly behind to see steve play in Zurich which should be savage.
Like Norway weve been havin desprate global warming warnings...For the first two weeks we were enjoying 20dergree sunshine and gettin tanned...tyhen last sunday it turned really cold wit snow that refused to settle and biting winds then we woke up this morn and its back in the high teens....Random
All in all everything is brilliant and I doubt ill wanna come home.
More to come at some stage. Gotta go get a french mobile so we can kep our social life alive,
Au revoir

Strasbourg at last

Since the cold one gave out about the fact that i never write in my blog i suppose i better make the effort now.
We arrived in strasbourg last night and this place is incredible. Old buildings of all styles particularly of the tudor style are scattered everywhere. We've spent the pat while strolling through the city and gettin accustomed to our surroundings its a very international city and we have already been invited out for drinks with a load of english erasmus year students. we bumped into one of them outside a chinese place last night.
Our apartment is unreal and huge...its in the attic of a massive old house. we've 66 stairs to climb up to our rooms, on the second floor is a place for difficult students to sta(thats a literal translation and they are totally seperate from us so we prob wont find out much more) The apartment itself is very big and all zhite. when we saw it first we were kinda worried about how clinical it looked but now that its speckled in pictures and the irish flag is hung in the hall it feels much more like home.
tommorow we start placement so il have more stories for you after that. if you wanna write to us then our parents of all will sort you out....but for the laughh you could always put L'attigue as the name of my appartment cuz that is literallyt wat it is

The joys of exams...

From this day on i will attend no more classes or do any more assesments in my second year of college. Unfortunately this means ive got the dreaded exams starting next saturday and continuing straight through the week. This week is all about study study study.GGGGRRR!!! Anyways to give u an updat on the play. It was a roaring success and very funny. I the musical director just about pulled off the mission...no doubt the more musical ones of the clann would've done far better but what can you do?? I also was not just a prince, I ended up being a bogger prince...I had a paddy hat and all!!!
Unfortunately the DVD failed for us so we manage to avoid that mortification...even more unfortunate though was having to endure the mortification of watchin the recording of our micro teaching!!! We had to teach the class a song which was unknown to us and them prior to the class. It was good fun but not so nice to watch back over.
All my assesments went really well though and i even got a brilliant mark in psychology despite being convinced i failed. Now all i have to do is Pass these next exams and France will be a happy time for all.
On the countdown chart we're down to 14 days. The Father of All is not best pleased about this...I couldn't even get across to him that I am only going for 3 months, unlike the boys who are yet to return...This was at lunch yesterday. Everytime i tried to tell him this he burst out in mockery crying...Very annoying to contend with. Himself and my better half are trying in vain to get me to stay in Ireland and face going through second year all over again rather than go away on a one off experience for a measly 3months!!!
I want to put the snow white picks up but it won't let me...some help here lads!!!

My Turn Lads

So here we are. my turn to set up a blog...gotta keep up with the big bros!!! anyways the reason for this blog is that il be headin off to France for 3 months on placement wit 3 others girls in my class. Its gonna be savage and when that happens every child in the clann will be livin in a different country where different languages are spoken and all but one has to battle wit a new language(that bein big little sister..London Son has a very foreign language to deal wit across the pond!!! :-P )
Anyways the story at the mo is that im in my second year of Early childhood care and Education here in Cork. Its a brill course...tomorrow me and my drama class are performing Snow White and The Seven dwarves to a group of 5 yr olds in their school... Im the Prince and, of course, The musical Director...SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! then iv got an exercise exam..Gotta teach the class how to play tennis :-/ should be fun...Don't worry my course isnt a total doss...we do music and art too...oh and those tougher subjects like social policy, law, psychology, health, and early years education. Only 3 weeks left til the horrible exams and then....Strasbourg here i come. Not sure how wise it is letting the girl who studied spanish in school wild in France is going to be but there you go...You Live You Learn.

That was my first ever blog entry but now its
Bonne soir from me
Au Revoir
P.S...Ms Levis despaired my spelling abilities so dont even think bout commentin on it now...
